Baby & Toddler Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas with little ones is extra special isn't it?! It is so easy to get carried away in the magic of Christmas putting up the Christmas tree, baking Gingerbread Men, visiting Santa, and looking out for his sleigh pulled by mischievous reindeer on Christmas Eve.

There is also a lot of Christmas shopping to fit in around all this fun, so we have come up with a selection of lovely gifts to give you some ideas that we think your little one would love!

The Laser Boutique is home to some amazing personalised wooden toys - I am trying to choose wood over plastic as much as possible this year for our little ones. Not only is it better for the environment, it also looks a lot nicer in our home! We have previously been bought items from The Laser Boutique, and have loved their items. It is really hard to just choose one of their items in our gift guide....swipe through the pictures below for a few of my favourites for 0-2 year olds.

Another lovely business I discovered recently was Arlo's Toy Shop. They have a section on their website called Storytime, which obviously I love the sound of! My favourite item has to be Alice the Fox...a hand puppet who plays hide and seek. There are three finger puppets of baby foxes all hidden in holes - one squeaks, another rattles and the last one makes a crinkle noise - and they are all pulling different faces (sad, happy, sleepy) giving your little one the opportunity to learn emotions too.

We love these Nesting Babies from Rosa & Bo. They are the first Russian doll toy that has been designed to be completely safe for babies and toddlers and will encourage hand-to-eye co-ordination through interactive play. They are also perfect for enhancing cognitive development, playing hide-and-seek, and developing number concepts and fine motor skills. A toy that will last all year as they can also be used in the bath and at the beach to create sand babies!

Perhaps you are decorating a nursery for your little one this Christmas - Pops and Boo have some wonderful nursery prints for twins. We love this small business and totally recommend checking them out. If you know someone expecting twins, their milestone cards are perfect. A pack of 30 beautifully illustrated milestone cards designed by a twin mum to help mark those special moments with your twins, from newborn through to toddlerhood. Plus, 10% of their profits go to the UK twins and multiples charity TAMBA.

The final two items would make great stocking fillers!

My Little Learner Flashcards

My Little Learner has some lovely baby flashcards which are bright, colourful, durable and wipeable! They have been carefully designed to entertain your baby as well as nurturing their little minds. My favourite are these high contrast cards - a perfect stocking filler. Like our Newborn Storybox, which is full of black and white goodies, these images are designed to stimulate and engage your little one from day one before they are able to pick up and interact with toys themselves.

Gummee Teething Mitten

I don't know about you, but my little boy is a dribbler! These teething mittens from Gummee would make a perfect stocking filler and are so cute too. The mitten is made to fit babies from 3 months, perfect for the early stages of teething and for when they are too young to hold a teething toy on their own. No more problems with toys falling on the floor or out of the pushchair!

They also do a variety of other teething aids for older age groups which is great as all our little ones get their first tooth in their own time.

Obviously, we couldn't finish our Christmas Gift Guide without mentioning the three wonderfully festive Christmas Storyboxes we have in our shop too! They all feature lovely board books from lift-the-flap, textures, stickers and Christmas Carols. We have a Christmas Storybox featuring six festive characters that can be enjoyed year after year, a Gingerbread Man Storybox and a Nativity one.

All our Storyboxes have a lovely chunky wooden character from Lanka Kade too to support story-telling. They are also great for fine motor skills, stacking and sorting, colour and name recognition and sensory play set ups. Take a look in our shop today.

Happy Festive Shopping...we'd love to hear from you if you choose anything from our gift guide for your little one!
